Founder and Creative Director, Emma Milne Watson, started jewellery brand, Milne Watson during the pandemic, in aid of the charity Refuge and their dire need for financial support to counter the rising cases of domestic abuse.
The former fashion editor and interior consultant, who’s 15-year magazine career included ELLE, Condé Naste Traveller and Wallpaper, as well as a 4-year tenure with Gwyneth Paltrow at Goop, swiftly turned all her creative energy to jewellery.
Within months, with the help of her daughter, what started as a side project swiftly gained momentum and morphed into a thriving business, with a client base that now includes everyone from Alessandro Michele to Claudia Schiffer.
An avid lover and collector of jewellery, with an eye for colour combinations and composition that mix the old with new, Emma’s passion came from her mother. During her childhood, spent between the Sussex countryside and Majorca, they would visit their favourite bead shop off London’s King’s Road, and bead together at home.
This personal touch runs throughout Milne Watson and is reflected in her unique designs. Each piece is crafted by hand with carefully selected precious, semi-precious stones, glass and vintage beads.
The elevated, playful designs, which are often inspired by nature and art, can be easily layered up with other pieces or simply worn on their own. They can also be created in collaboration with each customer to evoke special meaning and memory, worn and cherished for a lifetime.
